PEOPLESOFT POSITIONS - FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST / TECH ANALYST
Description
The PeopleSoft Functional Specialist acts as the primary contact for problems and questions regarding the ERP financial and supply chain application system and processes. The analyst must respond to issues and apply business functional knowledge to rapidly resolve production process failures. Must understand business needs to address dynamically changing environment and apply functional knowledge to offer the optimal solutions for the business community.
FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST MAJOR DUTIES
1. Research documentation and apply business process knowledge and analytical skills to resolve production support issues
2. Document functional requirements for application or report enhancements
3. Perform unit and regression tests for any development, upgrade or patch application
4. Provide functional expertise to support business processes and the end user community
5. Transfer knowledge to business users for enhanced functionality from migrations, upgrades and patch applications.
6. Act as liaison between end-users and PeopleSoft technical support team.
TECHNICAL ANALYST
The PeopleSoft Technical Analyst responds to application issues and applies technical expertise to expeditiously resolve application process failures. Must understand business needs to address dynamically changing environment and offer technical advice to implement optimal solutions for the business community. Must work with functional counterparts for requirements and specifications for any application or report enhancement requests.
TECHNICAL ANALYST MAJOR DUTIES
1. Research documentation and apply technical expertise to resolve support issues using tools and technologies.
2. Document technical requirements for application or report enhancements as well as designing and implementing software solution
3. Report writing with SQR and Crystal products
4. Retrofit enhancements during upgrades and patches as well as apply patches
5. Design, execute and document integrated system tests according to standards.
6. PeopleSoft systems administration with various PeopleSoft databases and multiple domains.
Requirements
FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or Accounting preferred
2. Minimum 3 - 5 years experience supporting an ERP application package, preferably PeopleSoft
3. Tools and technologies to troubleshoot application functionality, preferably SQL Server query tool and PeopleTools
4. Experience with change management process and documentation as related to quality assurance and SOX compliance
5. Ability to work in a team oriented environment with many internal customers as well as work independently
6. Must be energetic, a self-starter, detail oriented, highly organized and adapts quickly
7. Possess excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills
8. Proven ability to handle high demands and multiple tasks
9. Knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Access)
